Over 200 ARS Members Attend Successful Annual Cruise Tea Party
Over 200 ARS members from Eastern USA, Western USA, and Canada attended the annual ARS Eastern USA Tea Party on the ACAA Armenian Heritage Cruise, held January 9-15, 2006.
ARS CE Board member ungh Shakeh Basmajian welcomed the ARS members and guests and invited ungh Knar Kiledjian ARS Eastern USA Board of Regional Directors. Ungh Knar Kiledjian welcomed the ARS members and acknowledged ARS CE members ungerouhiner Shakeh Basmajian and Anahid Meymarian and reported on the projects and activities of the ARS Eastern USA. A very informative PowerPoint presentation generated a great deal of interest in the programs of the ARS, including the ARS Eastern USA’s Youth Educational Program Institute at the University of Connecticut, ARS Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships, the ARS Inc.’s Sponsor a Child program, Sosseh Kindergarten sponsorship, and the ARS Eastern USA’s recent effort for Katrina relief in New Orleans. Brochures and Applications of ARS projects were available to all.
Representatives from the ARS Western USA and ARS Canada also spoke briefly about the programs in their regions. The event concluded with conversation and tea and pastries, served compliments of the Armenian Heritage Cruise.
The ARS EUSA Board of Directors thanks the ACAA Cruise Committee for the hospitality and assistance during the annual ARS Tea Party on the 2006 Armenian Heritage Cruise that has been a tradition for so many years.
